Orthodontic treatment process
If you are considering embarking on orthodontic treatment with our specialist orthodontist here at The Brace Orthodontic Practice, this is the treatment process you can expect.
- Attend free consultation
All patients start their treatment journey with a free consultation. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you have about orthodontics and find out what will be involved without any obligation to proceed with treatment. You can also find out about our treatment costs and finance plans.
- Receive email with clinical assessment from the orthodontist
At your free consultation, treatment coordinator will assess your treatment needs. This enables you to make an informed decision as to whether or not you wish to proceed with treatment.
- Embark on treatment
If you decide you’d like to proceed with orthodontic treatment, we’ll arrange for you to come in for a second appointment to see the specialist orthodontist and a dental nurse who will take x-rays and moulds of your teeth. These are used to create your appliance. This second appointment costs £95 and at this appointment, you will also be required to pay a deposit to begin treatment. When you start treatment, the £95 fee will come off the total fee.
Throughout treatment, you will need to come in and see us once every eight to twelve weeks. These appointments give us a chance to check on your treatment progress, tighten your braces, or issue you with your new sets of aligners.
