Invisalign can now treat very complicated cases.
The aligners are removable so you can take them out to eat, brush and floss to keep your teeth healthy during treatment. You can also remove them when playing sports or musical instruments, or for those important business meetings and other occasions, such as first dates!
Invisalign works by creating a series of custom-made aligners designed specifically for your teeth and jaws. Each set of aligners, one for the top teeth and one for the bottom, should be worn for approximately two weeks. After this two-week period is up, you’ll need to replace them with the next set in the series.
Every set of aligners is shaped slightly differently according to your bespoke treatment plan, so they build on the work of the previous set. As you replace the aligners your teeth gradually move into their desired position.
Change your aligners every two weeks you ask? But you don’t have time to come into the clinic every two weeks, right? You don’t have too. At The Brace, we use Invisalign aligners in conjunction with orthodontic software, dental monitoring. This allows us to track your treatment via your smartphone reducing the number of check-up appointments you’ll need to attend throughout your treatment.
Dental monitoring works as an app on your smartphone and is compatible with all smartphones. All you need to do is take a selfie of your teeth every few days and upload it to the app. Your selfie comes through to us at the clinic where we can assess your photos against your treatment plan and ensure your teeth are straightening as they should be.
Dental monitoring allows for greater communication between you and our team and, with less clinic visits required, it means orthodontic treatment now fits even more easily into your lifestyle.
At The Brace, we are Diamond Invisalign providers, a status which recognises our team’s experience using these virtually invisible aligners. This means we can treat most, if not all, orthodontic problems with Invisalign for patients of all ages using Invisalign’s different aligners:
