The benefits of Invisalign
Invisalign treatment uses a series of clear plastic aligners that fit over your teeth to gently move them into position. The aligners are changed every two weeks as your treatment progresses and can be taken out for eating, drinking and cleaning. And, because the aligners are made from clear plastic, they’re virtually invisible.
In addition to the aesthetic and comfort advantages Invisalign offers, the system also has a number of significant clinical benefits, including:
- Improved periodontal health through better dental hygiene during treatment
- No metal allergies due to brackets and wires
- Greater treatment visibility and easier planning with our treatment software
- Reduced irritation and fewer scratches from custom made aligners that are tailored to your teeth
- Predictable treatment, as Invisalign is planned in advance your dentist can more accurately predict when your treatment will be finished
Invisalign Teen Treatment
Invisalign Teen works in the same way with a series of clear plastic aligners but is designed with the teenager’s mouth in mind, catering for the growth of secondary molars. They’re also designed with the teenager’s lifestyle in mind too! Invisalign Teen’s aligners can still be worn when playing sport or wind instruments, they don’t restrict what you can and cannot eat, and what’s more, the treatment comes with six replacement sets of aligners for those that will inevitably get lost along the way.

Invisalign Patient Testimonial
Invisalign treatment - before and after
Treatment time – 13 months
This patient wished to correct the crookedness of the front teeth; she also had an incorrect bite of the back teeth which can cause extra wear and damage to the teeth.
Treatment time – 12 months
The aim of treatment for this patient was to close the large gap between two front teeth and also to move the front teeth back slightly so that they no longer stuck out.
These photos are presented at Invisalign refinement stage so this case is not quite finished and we are now in the process of fully closing the gap between the two front teeth.
It is possible to treat more complex problems with Invisalign if combined with an element of fixed braces. This is something that we do quite often and usually involves just three-four months of fixed braces with the rest of the treatment being completed with Invisalign.
Treatment time – 26 months
This patient had one tooth which was set back and behind the other teeth. Fixed ceramic braces were placed on the tooth set back and those either side and were used to move this tooth into line with the others. Invisalign was then used to straighten and close the spaces between the teeth.
